Mrs. Iva Blackburn

Services for Mrs. Iva Blackburn, who died Wednesday morning at Valley Manor Nursing Home, will be conducted by the Rev. James W. Taylor of Hillcrest United Church Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Cedar cemetery.

Iva L. Snoke was born Nov. 5, 1893 at Eau Claire, Wis. to Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Snoke. He family moved to Colorado in 1903, locating in the Montrose area, where she had since made her home.

In 1912, she was married at Olathe to Chester Blackburn, who died in 1956. Surviving are two sons, Leo C. Blackburn, Albuquerque, N.M. and William O. Blackburn, Slick Rock, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Burns, Montrose and Mrs. Bessie O'Bannon, residing in California, one brother Elmer Snoke, Grand Junction. One daughter is deceased.

Mrs. Blackburn held a life membership in the Montrose Emblem club.
