I, J. Wathen, manager of this memorial, am the 2nd great-granddaughter of Monty. His daughter, Vesta Fern (McMaster) Wathen, is my great-grandmother.

Anderson McMaster, Former Central City Resident, Dies Here

Anderson Fremont McMaster, 75, died his home, 2945 South Twelfth street, Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock, following a short illness. Mr. McMaster, a retired farmer, came to Lincoln this summer from Central City.

Born in Iowa, he came to Nebraska and settled in Hall county while still a young man. He later made his home at North Platte, and in 1918 moved to Central City. Mr. McMaster was a clerk in the bill room of the state legislature in 1925. He was a candidate for representative in 1927.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret; three sons, J. Lloyd, Ruel V. and Ronald M. all of Lincoln; a daughter, Mrs. Vesta Wathen of Formoso, Kas.; a sister, Mary McMaster of Lime Springs, Ia., and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Umberger's chapel at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. Harley L. Overdeer officiating. Bertha O. Aydelott will sing. Pallbearers will be: Walter S. Baker, D. W. Hayes, K. B. Cary, George W. Ellsworth, Ward C. Betzer and Leo Berg.

A. F. McMASTER DIED THURSDAY AT LINCOLN HOME

Anderson Fremont McMaster, 75 former well known farmer of this community for many years, died Thursday, August 11th, at 4:00 p.m. at his home, 2945 So. 12th street, Lincoln. His illness was of brief duration, and word of his death came as a distinct shock to his friends and neighbors in and around Central City. He had been a resident of Lincoln only since early summer, when he and Mrs. McMaster decided to locate in the capital city, where their sons were engaged in business.

Mr. McMaster was born in Iowa and came west to Hall county while a young man. Later he went to North Platte, whence he came to Central City, where he farmed for years just a short distance west of the corporation line. During the year 1925-26 he was clerk in the bill room of the legislature at Lincoln and in 1928 was a candidate for representative from Merrick county on the Republican ticket.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, J. Lloyd, Ruel V. and Ronald M., all of Lincoln; a daughter, Mrs. Vesta Fern Wathen of Formoso, Kas., a sister, Mary McMaster of Lime Springs, Ia., and nine grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Saturday in Lincoln.
