Theresa M. (Roy) Bigwood, 85, of Rivulet St. died Wed. Sept. 9, at St. Camillus Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald G. Bigwood; daughter, Rosemary and her husband Lawrence Voss of Uxbridge; 2 grandchildren, Justin G. Voss of Uxbridge and Alyssa M. Voss of Gaithersburg, MD; sister, Marie Rivet of Uxbridge; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brothers, Lucien and Leopold "Fitzy" Roy and sister Irene Dion.
Born in North Uxbridge, on May 31, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Leontine (Brochu) Roy and has lived in N. Uxbridge all of her life. Mrs. Bigwood attended the Good Shepherd School in Linwood and Uxbridge High School. She was a LPN for many years, at many area nursing homes and retired from the Grafton State Hospital in 1979. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Linwood and enjoyed traveling, watching golf and the Red Sox.
Her funeral will be held on Sat. Sept. 12 from Tancrell- Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge with a Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 121 Linwood St. Linwood. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Fri. Sept. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Theresa's memory may be made to St. Camillus Health Care Center, 447 Hill St., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
