Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Augdahl was held April 2 from Grace Lutheran church in Brandon. Rev. Milton Aarsvold officiated. The pallbearers were Duane Augdahl, Floyd Landeen, David Pederson, James Augdahl, Dennis Augdahl and Clifford Augdahl, Jr. Interment was made in the Brandon cemetery.
Thea Augdahl was born Jan. 1, 1878 in Moe township, Douglas county, Minn., the daughter of Julian and Thora Larson. She was baptized and confirmed in the West Moe Lutheran church in Moe township. She grew to womanhood on her parents farm and on July 10, 1897, she was united in marriage to Carl Augdahl in the West Moe church by Rev. O. Juul. Mr. and Mrs. Augdahl farmed in Brandon township until 1948 when they retired and moved to Brandon village.
Mrs. Augdahl passed away at the Douglas County hospital in Alexandria on Easter Sunday, March 29, at the age of 81 years, two months and 28 days. She is survived by her husband, Carl; five sons and two daughters: Clifford and Lloyd of Brandon, Edwin of Alexandria, Mrs. Elmer Landeen (Mable) of Minneapolis, Mrs. Howard Pederson (Hazel) of Osakis, Philip of Milnor, N. D., and Warren of Kensington. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Johanna Handy of Trail and Mrs. Martin Walstead (Helena) of San Diego, Calif. She was preceded in death by two sons, Freddie and James.

There were three other sisters not pictured. They are Johanna (Larson) Handy, Emma Olava (Larson) Foslien, and a baby named Emma Olava Larson that died when the family was crossing the ocean from Norway. Johanna, Augusta, Hanna, and the baby Emma were born in Norway. The 2nd Emma, Heline and Thea were born in Minnesota after the immigration in 1973.
