Edna M. Childers Foss, 96, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, in Bon Secours Nursing Care Center, St. Clair Shores. She was born Feb. 29, 1904, in Murphysboro, Illinois. She married Frank A. Foss on Sept. 14, 1926, in Bowling Green, Ohio. He died in 1963. She was a member of First Congregational Church, New Baltimore. She was credentials chairwoman of the Republican Women's Federation of Michigan and was present at a dinner with President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1959 in Washington, D.C. She owned a beauty shop on Eight Mile Road in Hazel Park. Along with her husband, Frank, she owned a drug store in Fair Haven and lived in nearby New Baltimore.
