Elaine Marie Peterson Edgar “Guma” was born Feb 19, 1943 in Georgetown, Texas to Svea and Ruben Peterson. She grew up in the Leander-Jollyville area.
Elaine graduated from Round Rock High School in 1961 and married Joe Edgar at Palm Valley Lutheran Church on July 12, 1963. She worked at Farmer's Insurance Group for 15 years before staying at home with her children and grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by her husband Joe, her children Donna and husband Erich, Pete and wife Melissa, Kerrie and husband Charles, Terrie and husband Eddie, David and wife Kristy. Grandchildren include: Christy, Jessica, Elizabeth and John Glave, Courtney and Cody Edgar, Clay and Taylor Navarette, Matt, Tyler and Kaleb Edgar, C.J., Hailey, and Thomas Giddens, Alexandra and Dillon Bradley. Great Grand Children, Ethan Glave. Sisters: Mary Burklund and Linda Fox.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Ruben and Svea Peterson and brother Jimmy Peterson. “Guma” enjoyed spending time with family, fishing at the coast and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.
