Florence Faye Myers was born in Mar 1924 at home in rural Howell Co, MO near the town of Moody, Missouri in March 1924. After her birth the family moved back to Kansas and Kiowa County, CO in about 1926. After her mother died in the spring of 1936, Faye's oldest sister, Marie, took care of the house and the cooking. Her older sister, Ruth, took care of the other children in the family. Faye was the "bright one" in the family and was pretty much left alone to contemplate the goings on in the world while others did all the work. She stayed with the family in Las Animas until the early 1940's after which she went to Denver and moved in with her Marie and Ruth who had an apartment there. Right after the war, she married Charles Ford and they had a son, John Ford, in about 1946. Faye and Charles divorced in about 1960 and she remarried Jay Strahan about 1962 in Denver. Jay died in 1983 in Ogden, Utah and Faye moved back to Denver. Florence lived and worked in Denver virtually all of her life until she moved to Craig, Colorado in the late 1980's. She died in Craig, Colo in Oct 2010 at the age of 86.
