Joel C. Watson, 75, Indianapolis resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, at his home.

Joel was born and raised in Sanford, Maine, and attended New York University where he was an engineering major and member of Phi Gamma Delta.

A long-time resident of Nashua, NH, he moved to Indianapolis in 2002 to provide consulting services on the planning, design, and construction of the midfield terminal at the Indianapolis International Airport. After the completion of the project in 2008, Joel happily remained in Indianapolis.

He leaves daughters Kristie Dickinson, Karen Corbo, Sarah Sinclair, and Lauren Paret; sons-in-law Jeff Dickinson, Jay Corbo, and Ryan Sinclair; grandsons Calvin and Nolan Dickinson, Austin Paret, and Niven Sinclair; and granddaughters Kaitlyn Corbo and Ava Paret.

He was preceded by his father, John Watson, mother, Anita LaChance Watson, and brother, Robert Watson.

Known for his intelligence, kindness, and wit, Joel, among other things, was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan, epicurean, horse racing aficionado, jazz enthusiast, loving father, and good friend to many.
