Leonne Dolorez Tarrant was born September 27, 1917 in Lovell, Oklahoma to Leo and Jenny (Williams) DeJarnette. She passed away December 20, 2014 at her home in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 97 years, 2 months, and 23 days.

Born and raised in this area she attended grade school at Roxanna and attended high school at Marshall, graduating in 1933. She married Edward Tarrant on June 7, 1937 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Edward and Leonne followed the oil field for many years and she worked many jobs including, a butcher, a nurse’s aid, in home caregiver, nursing home supervisor, and a homemaker to her family. She was very active in her children’s PTO organizations as they grew up. Leonne enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening.

Survivors include three daughters, Tressa Coffman and partner Daniel Waterman of Edmond, Sherry Ficken and husband Vernon of Edmond, and Elaine Coonfield and husband Kenneth of Crescent; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Larry Tarrant, one granddaughter, Kenda Kolb, one sister, Vera Swank, and two brothers, George and Alvin Ross.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the Oakland-Knowles Cemetery with Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
