Donnie Sue Snow, 71 of Corinth, Mississippi, went home to be with her heavenly father Sunday, November 22, 2015. Donnie passed peacefully in her sleep after a long, hard-fought battle with metastasized breast cancer.
Donnie was born January 18, 1944 in Sligo. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1961 and attended beauty school where she obtained her cosmetology license. She later went on to study at Goldenwest Community College in Huntingdon Beach, California.
Donnie was an avid writer and published poet. She developed a prayer site on Facebook that has touched thousands of lives around the country and overseas. She devoted her life to others. She had a sweet, special spirit and strength about her that was God given and chose to use this in every aspect of her daily life. She has passed so much love and encouragement on to so many others that her spirit and love will carry on throughout years to come.
Donnie was greeted in Heaven Sunday by her mother, Della Edith Wynkoop Aldous; her father, Thomas Meade Aldous; sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Mert Kline; one brother, Ben"Ike" Aldous; a sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Snow; and a niece, Cathy Carey.
Donnie has left loving memories behind to her soul mate and husband of 49 years, Tom Snow of Corinth, Mississippi; a daughter, Vicki Snow Killinger and son-in-law Jim Killinger, also of Corinth; a grandson, Cody Thomas Gates of Elyria, Ohio; a granddaughter, Paige Makenna Davis of Corinth; a sister and brother-in-law Kay and Gene Curll of Clarion; and a brother-in-law Larry Snow of Cranberry.
Also surviving are many very special nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who were more like family and are too numerous to mention; and one very special canine companion, Heidi Nicole Snow.
A memorial service will be held at a later time to honor the special memories and life of this loving woman. There will be a service held for friends and family in her southern home of Cornith, Mississippi and then a later service in her childhood home of Clarion where she will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made on her behalf to the West Clinic Oncology Center, 2001 State St., Corinth, Mississippi 38834
