It was in 1936 that Dr. Earney came to Millersburg, where he remained for the rest of his life. He practiced medicine in the community for 52 years. Dr. Earney estimated that he delivered over 4,000 babies during his years of service. He served in the capacity of Holmes County Health Commissioner for 34 years and cultivated his expertise in the field of geriatric medicine while serving as the Chief Medical Consultant of the Castle Nursing Homes for 39 years.
On Dec. 11, 1938, Adam was united in marriage to Ida Ruth Klopp, who preceded him in death.
