Helen Violet Shedron, 83, of Millersburg passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, following a period of declining health.

She was born June 21, 1927, in Holmes County and was the daughter of Frank and Cecil (Bucy) Zollars. On March 12, 1947, she married Lewis Shedron and he preceded her in death Oct. 27, 2005.

She had worked for Rice-Chadwick Rubber Co. in Killbuck, The Big Plus and Rodhes IGA. Helen was co-owner, along with her husband, of Shedron Trucking. She was a 1947 graduate of Glenmont High School and she was a member of Welcome Church of Christ. She loved going bowling, loved get-togethers with the family and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels.

Surviving are six children, Bob Shedron and Coralee McDowell, Bonnie Vaubel and Larry Franks, Karen and John Graber, Joyce and Raymond Angle, Mike and Kathy Shedron and Lee and Sandy Shedron all of Holmes County; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ada Hawkins of Killbuck.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Everett, Ray and Paul Zollars; four sisters, Edna Engel, Hazel DeVore, Ruth Reed and Garnet Owen; a son-in-law, Ted Vaubel; and a daughter-in-law, Connie Shedron, and Marilyn Croskey.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with her grandson, Justin Angle, officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.
