Born in Philadelphia, Pa, to Loretta and Alfred Morency on March 16th 1908, moved to National Park, NJ when he was in his 20's. He worked at the New York Ship Yard in Camden, NJ, as a welder. He was married to Ida M [Campbell] Morency [Logan] in 1929, and was the father of Buddy, Bobby, Jackie, Tommy and Diane. He never got to know his grandchildren Donna, Robert, John, Nancy, Joann, Bonnie, Thomas, Nicholas, Michael, Dawn and Andrew and his great grandchildren, Samantha,Carson, John, Christian, Christine, Matthew, Heather, Phillip , Devon, Robbie,Derrick, Shane and Joshua,and his great great grandchildren,Lexi,Violet and Liam.
I don't know much about my father as he died when I was 5, but I do remember a few memories and they are precious to me.My dad was a clown in the Fansy Divison in the Mummers Parade in Philadelphia,Pa,but am not sure what band he was with.
He died on a hot summer day in August which I do remember. He was 43 years old, he died in his sleep from a heart attack. He was the oldest of 5 children. his siblings Catherine, Marie, Thomas and Joseph. and he was a handsome man. Im sorry that I never got to know him . I'll see you again one day.
