AKRIDGE, Albert C. of Rt. 1, Troy. Age 63. Died 1/21/1976 (Wed.) in a Temple hospital after a long illness. Services held 1/22/1976 (Thursday) in Harper-Talasek Funeral Home. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple. Dr. Gorden Dennis officiated.

He was BORN 9/1/1912 near Belfalls and graduated from Southwest Texas Teachers College in San Marcos with a Master Degree in Education. He taught school in Thorndale and was school superintendent for several years before moving to Troy School District. He taught in Troy until 1971 when he retired to farm. Member of the Methodist Church in Temple.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Elinor Neal Akridge of Troy; 3 sons, Albert Neal of Richardson, Major James A. of Tampa, FL., and Robert Wayne of Austin; 2 daughters, Mrs. Rolinn Kral of DeSota, Mrs. W.R. Van Volkenburgh of Lake Jackson; brother, J.L. Akridge of Georgetown; 2 sisters, Mrs. W.W. Newman of Pleasanton and Mrs. Neil Allgood of Long Beach, CA.; 1 grandson.
