William C. 'Bill' Vague Sr., 58, formerly of Racine, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay. He fought a short, but valiant battle against cancer, never losing his wonderful sense of humor. Bill was born in Milwaukee on June 13, 1953. Bill attended St. John's Military Academy. After graduating, Bill worked 31 years at J.I. Case (CNH) holding various positions, retiring in 2002. He resided mostly in Racine and Kenosha, retiring and moving up North to Keshena. Bill enjoyed relaxing, playing video and computer games, watching TV, spending time with his family, and fishing. He is survived by his children, Christina Vague, Joanna Vague, Kenneth Vague, William C. Vague Jr., Lynn (Clint) Callies; eight grandchildren; parents, Harold and Doris Vague; sisters, Cheryl Vague, Jackie (Karl) Nelson; niece, Emily; other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2011, 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Oak Creek. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Memorials to the family have been suggested. The family would like to thank all the staff at Bellin Health and Unity Hospice for their wonderful care.
