Daniel Burke died at an early hour Sunday morning at his home near the Monon yards after a lingering illness of a complication of diseases. He was 78 years old and was born in Ireland. The deceased leaves a wife and the following children: Walter Burke of the post office, Edward Burke, Miss Mary Burke and Mrs. W. O. Greene. He was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church.

Funeral at nine o'clock tomorrow morning at the St. Charles Catholic Church in charge of Rev. Father Bogemann and interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
(Note: They were the parents of eleven children; four of whom survive: Mrs. Agnes B. (Burke) Green, Walter Burke, Edward Burke & Miss Mary Burke.)
