M. Sgt. Bollinger Heart Attack Victim
Master Sergeant Charles R. Bollinger, 41, son of Theodore W. Bollinger, of Emmitsburg, died of a heart attack in Korea July 3l, according to a telegram from the Defense Department, received his wife, Mrs Marie Cox Bollinger, Baltimore. No details concerning the death have been received by the Bollinger family.
Sgt. Bollinger was a veteran of 17 years in the Regular Army and had had foreign duty in China, India, and Hawaii as well as in Korea. He never had been wounded, his father said.
He was graduated from the Emmitsburg High School, Kiski preparatory school, and the Gettysburg college in 1935.
Besides his wife and father he is survived by one brother Theodore W. Bollinger, and one sister, Mrs. Jane Gingell, both of Emmitsburg.
