Cecil Elihu Watson, 74, of Pochontas, died Wednesday, Aug 13, 1997, at his home.

He was born June 18, 1923 in Chismville, a son of the late Edward Lee and Fannie (Green) Watson. He was owner/operatoe (sic) of a taxi service and a veteran of the World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Birdie Marie Lucas Watson of Pocahontas; a son, Jimmy Watson of Maynard, five daughters, Cecilia Ballard, Joyce Baltz, and Betty Stockwell, all of Pocahontas; Caorlyn Frankenberger of Mountain Home, and Eunice Thiele of Rogers; 15 grandchildrens and two great-grand children.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Recs C.C. and Glenn Chadwick officiating.

Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery under the direction of McNabb's. Pallbears were grandsons, Michael, Bryan and Stevie Watson, Josh Stockwell, Adam Frankenberger and Shane Ballard. Honorary pallbears (sic) were Tim Reed and Chris Tyler.
