Victim of the May 25th 1955 Udall Tornado

The family consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Karnes and their children, Maxine, 11, and Gerald 9, who were in their home just east of the Udall High school building at the time of the disaster.

Karnes Family Rites Sunday

Funeral services Mr. & Mrs. George Karnes, and children, Maxine and Gerald, one of the complete families which perished in the Udall storm, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Arnett, Okla., in the American Legion building.

Burial will be in the Harmon, Okla., cemetery and the Odd Fellows lodge will be in charge of the graveside service. The Karnes family formerly lived in Arnett.
