Ellsworth Alexander Martin, 71, of Route 1, Ripon, died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at his home in the Town of Rosendale.
Born in the Town of Springvale Oct. 21, 1896, he was the son of Elmer E. and Lucy Schlenski Martin. He was educated in Rosendale Schools, was retired and had lived in the vicinity of Rosendale all his life.
He married Ruth Pomplin Oct. 26, 1929. He served in World War 1. Mr. Martin is survived by his widow; one brother, Gerry Martin, Des Plaines, Ill.; and three sisters, Mrs. George Comery, Western Springs, Ill.; Mrs. G. M. Turk, Kenosha, and Mrs. L. U. Westurn, Baltimore, Md. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Butzin Funeral Home, Ripon, Rev. E. E. Schieler officiating. Burial will be in Rosendale Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
