He was a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 17, Science Lodge 50 F&AM, 32nd Degree Masons, Scottish Rite of Toledo,and Sandusky Elks Lodge 285.
He retired in 1957 as Sergeant on the Sandusky Police Force. He served as the police chief of Milan,Ohio from 1957 until 1961. He retired from Port Clinton Manufacturing in 1976.
Mr. Buser married Wildred Martin on February 22, 1933 in Lexington, Kentucky. Survivors include his wife, a son, Ben W. Buser Jr. of Sandusky, a daughter, Carol B. Hawk of Jefferson, Ohio, and 4 grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents Benhardt & Margaret Buser.
