Doris Lee Adams Hood, 88, of Newnan, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. She was born October 11, 1922 in Butler, GA to the late Ezekiel Boss Adams and Gussie Schrimpshire Adams. Mrs. Hood and her husband, David, owned and operated several restaurants in the Atlanta area including the Chicken King in Hapeville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Hood. Survivors include 3 sons and daughters-in-law; sister of Phenix City, Alabama; 2 stepchildren and their spouses; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service held September 24 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Pat Latta officiating. Pallbearers are her grandsons. McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory, Newnan, GA. in charge of arrangements.
