Samuel Augustus built a church on the same land as the water mill at Streeter in honor of his wife and her deep Christian faith called the Rhoda Ann Memorial Baptist Church. This church is still used today (2011) for Church Services, weddings, baptisms, and family reunions. Samuel and Rhoda's children born to them were Lucy, George, Andrew, William Alexander, Alfred Berman, Laura, Amanda, Samuel John Tilden, Jediah, Cecil and Effie. Samuel died July 12, 1893 in Summers County, WV.

Samuel is the son of John R. Pack (son of Matthew Pack & Katherine Lilly) born June 1809 in Monroe County Virginia. His 1st marriage was to Elizabeth Belle Harvey (d/o Joshua Harvey & Sarah Swope Harvey) on July 5, 1830 in Monroe County, Virginia. Children born to them are William H., Sarah F., Mary Jane, James Manser, John R. Jr. Rachel, Nancy, Samuel Augustus, Preston, and Rebecca.
