The Rev Albert Noll Barnes, 56, of Escatawpa, died suddenly Sunday at King's Daughters Hospital in Bay St Louis.
He was en route home from New Orleans when he suffered a heart attack and was taken to the Bay hospital.
A native of Vancleave, he was pastor of Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church in Escatawpa, and a member of the carpenters local at Pascagoula.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from Escatawpa Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church with the Rev John R Darling, Mobile, officiating, assisted by Elder Steiner of Mobile, The Rev Noel Ulmer, Escatawpa Methodist, and the Rev Young, Escatawpa Baptist.
Interment was in the church cemetery. Pall bearers were Jimmy Roberts, E B [Bud] Sherman, Gordon Gibson, Leo Livaudais, Marshall Mizell and Daniel McQueen.
Survivors are his widow; four daughters, Mrs Bill Miller, Richland, Wash., Mrs Melvin Parker, Misses Wanda and Wilda Barnes, all of Escatawpa; four sons, Calvin L., Curtis E., Otis R., and Frederick M., all of Escatawpa.
Four sisters, Mesdames Lou Goff and Bertha Goff, both of Vancleave, Mrs Lizzie Miller and Mrs Stella Tillman, both of Mobile; a brother, John Barnes of Vancleave and seven grandchildren.
