According to the cemetery records, Johanna died at the age of 35 yrs., which would calculate her year of birth to be about 1837. I believe the numbers of her age were transposed and that she was 53, which would calculate her birth year as 1819.

I don't believe 1837 was her year of birth, since she is listed as the mother of Johanna Kohler Bernice, who was born in 1850. Though it was not impossible that she birthed a child at the age of 13, this would likely have made her the second wife of Michael Kohler; or else the age of her time of death is incorrect, since it would disqualify her as the mother of Jacob Kohler, born 1842; and John M. Kohler, born 1845; and Gottlieb Kohler, born 1848. Therefore I conclude her to be the mother of Juliana Kohler Miller, born 1851; and Charles Kohler, born 1863, since she is named as the mother of Johanna Kohler Bernice.

Upon further research, I found the record of her immigration on FamilySearch.org:

Johanna Kohler 42y
immigrated July 16, 1861
from France to New York NY.
The country of origin in Baden.
The port of departure is Havre.
The name of the ship was 'New Orleans'
Estimated birth year was 1819.

I do conclude her to be the mother of all of Michael Kohler's children, since the numbers of her age in the cemetery records were transposed. She would have been 53 yrs. at the time of her death in 1872, not 35 as recorded.
