Robert M. Bowers, 87, of Clarks Hill, died Monday morning at the Lafayette Home hospital of complications following an illness of one month. He lived in Mulberry for several years with his sister, Mrs. Martha Peterson. After her death he moved back to Clarks Hill.
He was a retired farmer and had spent all of his life in Montgomery and Tippecanoe counties. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Colfax.
Mrs. Harold Stewart of Mulberry is a grand-niece of the deceased man.
Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Williams Funeral Home in Colfax, with the Rev. A. P. Wenger of Rossville officiating. Burial was in the Bowers cemetery near Colfax.
