John Ervin Bolton, 49, of 1900 Elwood Ave., died Thursday at Moses Cone Hospital. He had been ill three days. Funeral will be 1 a.m. Saturday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Chapel.
Bolton was a painter and a World War II Marine veteran.
Survivors are widow, Mrs. Dorothy McClamrock Bolton; daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Yancey of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Jackie Robert Bolton of the home and Wally R. Bolton with the U. S. Navy in Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Cox, Mrs. Lucille Wright, Mrs. Margaret Capps, all of Greensboro; brother, Clarence Bolton of Greensboro.
