Mrs. Pearl Morris Brown, 101 years old, formerly of 112 Manor Dr. High Point, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Evergreens Nursing Center in Greensboro.

Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point, with Rev. Bill Rook and Rev. Walter Lilly officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born November 19, 1900 in Montgomery County daughter to Presley Martin and Martha Von Cannon Morris. Mrs. Brown was a self-employed realtor, a member of Wesleyan Bible Holiness Church and previously a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in High Point, where her husband served as pastor. On June 13, 1925, she married Rev. Clon Chandler Brown, Sr. who preceded her in death on March 10, 1977. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bona Odell Brown of Greensboro, on March 11, 1998 and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are sons: Willard B. Brown and wife, Dorothy of Austin, Texas, and C. C. Brown, Jr. and wife, Gwen of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters: Mrs. Lorene Jemison and husband, Danny of Lewisville, Texas, Mrs. Laverne Rook and husband Rev. Bill of Greensboro, Mrs. Delorus Homer of Green Valley, Ariz.; brother: Claude Morris of Troy; sisters: Mrs. Grace Robbins of Asheboro and Mrs. Leona Galloway of Badin; Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive her.

Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Laverne and Bill Rook, 2815 County Clare Rd., Greensboro, N.C.
