JULIAN - Mrs. Mattie Owens Ives, 105, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with the Rev. Burley W. Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ives was born in Warwick County, Va., and lived there until she moved to Greensboro in 1974, where she made her home with Charles and Betty Wilson.
She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Betty and Charlie Wilson of Julian, Margaret and John Jamison of Dayton, Pa. and Ella Mae and Jack Gorrell of Poquoson, Va.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Blair Curtis Rowe and David Griffin.
Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made Pleasant Grove Baptist church, 3812 Groometown Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407.
Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is handling arrangements (336) 854-9100.
