On 4 May 1913, Simond married Ethel Mae Gerald in Stacyville, Maine. They settled on a farm on Grindstone Rd. There they became parents of 7 boys, 5 of whom lived past infancy: Alton, Gerald, Darrell, Lealie and Royce.
Simond lived on the farm until his death on 7 Dec 1975. He was buried in Sherman Mills Cemetery, next to his beloved wife Ethel.
