--YORK - Jewel Womble Porch, 69, of York, S.C., passed away Friday, June 17, 2011, at The Robin Johnson House, Dallas.
--She was born September 8, 1941, in Farner, Tennessee, daughter of Mary Farner Womble and the late Henry Womble. She was a member of Gloryland Freewill Baptist Church of York, S.C.
--A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., on Monday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Randy Thomas. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., on Sunday at the funeral home.
--Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
--She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, David and Lori Porch; daughters and sons in-law, Paula and Rick Gunn, Darlene and Mike Champion; brothers, Tommy Womble, Wendell Womble; sisters, Christine Thompson, Gladys Stone, Katherine Ledford; grandchildren, Michael, Cody and Justin Porch, Kary Gann, Shelly McDonald, Lindsay Rhinehart, Taylor Gunn; 3 great- grandchildren.
--In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul T. Porch.
