Was Junior at Watertown High School Funeral Planned Holy Rosary Church
Caroline Mary Clausen 18 years old, daughter of Mr and Mrs. John Clausen died at the Clausen farm home 4 miles SW of Kranzburg at 2:15AM.
Death resulted from an acute heart attack, which followed complications brought on by measles and influenza, her physician explained. Miss Clausen had been staying in Watertown with an aunt, Mrs. Anton Schiller, while she was attending high school here. She had been ill about two weeks and she went home about a week ago when her condition became more serious.
Her condition improved somewhat after she reached home according to her physician, but during the storm of Tuesday, she became alarmed and got up out of bed and moved about the house and according to her physician, this is believed to have further weakened her. She was suffering from an acute infection, which attacked the inner lining of her heart.
She was a Junior in Watertown high school. She graduated from the Holy Rosary grade school at Kranzburg and had intended to finish her high school work at Watertown high school.
Caroline Clausen is survived by her parents, one sister, Ottila, and five brothers; Isadore, Alfred, Leo, John and Richard. She was born October 23, 1912.
Funeral services will be held from the Holy Rosary church at Kranzburg, though the time of th funeral had not been decided upon today.
