Florence McGehee 89 passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, in Duncan.
Funeral services were held at 10:30am, Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating. Burial was held in the Marlow Cemetery.
Born February 11, 1914, to W.B. (Barney) and Gertha (Tuggle) Johnson, Marlow, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. McGehee graduated from Central High School, lived in the Marlow-Central High area all her life and was a member of the Denton Baptist Church.
She helped her husband on the farm and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading, and puzzles.
In 1937, she married Roy McGehee in Lawton, he preceded her in death in June 1973.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and a sister.
Survivors included two sons and a daughter-in-law Robert and Linda McGehee of Garland, TX and Phillip McGehee of Dallas, TX, two grandsons Mark McGehee and wife Betsy of Garland, TX and Tyrus McGehee and wife Tina of Mesa, AZ, and a great-grandson Connor McGehee of Garland, TX.
Other survivors include for sisters and a brother-in-law Jesse Hines of Marlow, Ruth and Joe Herrera of Duncan, Eulita Ball of Madisonville, TX and Pearl McGee of Broken Arrow.
Pallbearers are Charles Patterson, Ernest McGee, Clyde McGee, Barney Hines, Fred Hines, and Lynn Herrera.
