Carl Newton Butler, 88, died Friday evening in Bartlesville.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jim Winslow officiating. Graveside services and interment were directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Carl Newton Butler was born on December 12, 1922 at Bristow, Oklahoma the son of Jasper Newton and Mayme (Allen) Butler. He was raised in League City, Texas. He married Annis G. Tate on May 9, 1942 in League City. He served in the Military during WWII. He had worked for the Phillips Petroleum Company and retired after 41 years of service.

Carl is survived by his wife Annis of the home, two sons, Carl Gene Butler of Alvin, Texas and Gary Butler of Amarillo, Texas, one daughter Tena Ann Stoy of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, one sister Marie Raymond of Smackover, Arkansas, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dick and Vernon and one grandson Tommy Don Butler. Published in Examiner-Enterprise from February 15 to March 15, 2011
