Born March 3, 1910 in Abraham to James Herbert and Marie Pearson Taylor. Mar-ried LaVon Maurine Wilcox Dec 20, 1934 in Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Dec 20, 1996. Em-ployed by Telluride Power and Utah Power & Light until retirement in 1975.
Active in LDS Church, serving in many positions. Received Silver Beaver as a Boy Scout. Served as Delta City Councilman, Delta Fire Department, Civil Air Patrol.
Survived by sons and daughters: Ila Rae (Bill) George, Las Vegas, NV, Bruce W. (Margaret) Taylor, Delta, Jean Black, Salt Lake City, David (Sonya) Taylor, Delta, Judy Hoelzle, Delta, Sherri (Mitch) Terrell, Price; 31 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one great-grand-daughter; one sister; and four brothers.
Services Tuesday October 31, 2000, 11 a.m., Delta LDS 3rd Ward chapel. Friends call Monday 7-8 p.m., Nickle Mortuary and Tuesday 9:30-10:40 p.m. at the church. Burial, Delta Cemetery.
