Helen Blanch Blumerich

88, of Berlin Township, died Thursday morning November 29, 2007 at Evangelical Nursing Home Hospice Care Center, Fort Gratiot.
She was born September 1, 1919 in Deckerville, MI, the daughter of the late Merritt and Ethel Ives Lyle.
Her marriage to Nelson Franklin Blumerich was December 5, 1942 in Capac. Nelson passed away, August 2, 2001, after 58 years of marriage.
Helen was employed by the Capac School District as a bus driver for 19 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the former Lock Bridge Extension and enjoyed canvas painting, collecting cardinal figurines, spending time at their up north cabin, and her dog's companionships throughout the years.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Carol Hayes of Ft. Gratiot and two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Lou Anne) Blumerich of Allenton and William (Nancy) Blumerich of Allenton; six grandchildren, Andrea (Brian) Mc Mann, Annette (Korey) Burch, Celeste Blumerich, Crystal (Dan) Jurczyszyn, Adam Blumerich, and Cheryl Blumerich; great granddaughter Ariana McMann; sister-in-law, Helen Mallwitz, sister and brother-in-law Ethel and Dick Clark; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Tamba and brothers William and Charles Lyle.
Her family honors the memory of Helen and invite you to visit and share Saturday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac, and attend funeral services 12:30 p.m. Monday with 11:30 a.m. visiting. Rev. Joyce Johnston, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church ELCA, Brown City, will officiate. Burial will be in Capac Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Blue water Hospice or St. John's Lutheran Church, Capac.
