Minor League Baseball Player. A native of London, Kentucky, he played for the University of Kentucky from 1998 to 2001. He posted a 5-5 career record with a 3.23 ERA. Originally signed as a free-agent with the Chcago White Sox in 2001, he played professionally for Independent League teams in Joliet, Illinois, and in Fargo, North Dakota. He played for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks from 2002 to 2004, and was a member of there 2003 league championship team. On August 26, 2006, he married his girlfriend Scarlett Parsley, a graduate student of Centre College. Both Hooker and his new wife were among the 49 passengers killed in the crash of the Comair Flight 5191 from Lexington, Kentucky, to Atlanta, Georgia, on August 27, 2006.
