Mrs. Gertrude (Trudy) Marshman Ardrey, 80, 200 7th Ave., Apt. 4, Juniata, died Friday, March 29, 1996, at Altoona Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 2, 1916 in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of Isaac Strode and Mary (Waite [vs. Weight]) Marshman. She married Ellis E. Ardrey March 28, 1936 in Cumberland, MD.
She was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Juniata.
Mrs. Ardrey was employed by Puritan Sportswear from 1963 to 1968, then worked as a teachers aide at Wright Elementary School.
She enjoyed sewing, crafts and quilting.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters: Donna I. Anderson and Marianne B. Melotti, both of Altoona; three sisters: Louise Crea in New Jersey, Joanne Croft of Carlisle, and Verna Mae Cruis of Bellwood; a brother, Strode of Avalon Road, Altoona; and three grandchildren.
