Eldon Wade Callis,80,of Centerton,Ark.,died friday,oct.31,2003,at Northwest Medical center of Benton County in Bentonville,Ark.he was born Dec.4,1922,in Benton County,Ark.,to Orville Callis and Winniford Pitts Callis.He married Mary Wooldridge.He was a welder and a heavy equipment operator.He was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Bentonville Ark.,the pipeliners union 789 and Masonic Lodge 56 of Bentonville.He was considered a craftsman and made violins from trees that he personally cut.He is preceded in death by a son,Dennis Eldon Callis.Survivors include his wife,Mary Wooldridge Callis: a son,Tim Callis of Broken Arrow,Okla.:a daughter,Pamela Callis Johnson of Fayettville, Ark.:four grandchildren:and two great-grandchildren.
