From the Champaign-Urbana News Gazette, Sunday, March 16, 2008. Charles F. Keltner, Jr. died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Greenville. He was a son of Charles and Lela Crites Keltner. He married Carolyn Kay Keltner of February 19, 1956. She survives. Othe survivers include as son Charles of Highland; a daugher, Carolyn Wagner of Decatur and six grandchildren. He was preceeded by a son, Dennis James Keltner. He graduated from St. John's School of Nursing and St. John's School of Anesthesia. He began a nursing career in 1952. He worked in Berwin and Marion and moved to Highland in 1964. He retired as Director of Anesthesia after 17 years at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, in 1984.
