Frederick arrived in the United States from Baden, Germany at Baltimore, Maryland on September 30, 1833 with his parents Jacob and Catherine Daubenmire. They moved on to Ohio around 1834. Frederick married Lovinia Amspaugh November 26 1854 in Lancaster, Fairfield County, Ohio. They moved to Iowa between May 1867 and June 1868. Frederick and Lovinia had 12 children.
