Rena Cordle resided with his wife, Mary Hulda, and their 10 children in the Texas Valley Community. Once upon a time Rena went to Sand Springs Church to help put up a fence around the cemetery. As usual Rena was late and the menfolk began kidding him about being late. Rena said, "I don't know why we're putting a fence up anyway. People in this cemetery aren't going to run away and nobody I know is in a hurry to get into this cemetery".
