Succumbs At 65
Mrs. Verna W. Armstrong,
65, of Grandview, died at 9 a.m.
Tuesday after a long illness.
Born Oct. 28 1901, at Grand-
view, she was a daughter of
the late Burke and Connie Hunt
McClure.
Mrs Armstrong was a life-
long resident of Raleigh County
and a member of the Grand-
view Christian Church.
Survivors include three sons,
Boyd of Lake Worth, Fla., and
Richard of Orlando, Fla., and
Thomas of Warren, Mich., one
daughter, Mrs. Carey (Evelyn)
Pitzer of Beaver; two brothers,
Forrest McClure of Piney View
and Robert of Grandview; two
sisters Mrs. Ida Belle Miles of
Grandview and Mrs. Elizabeth
Ransom of Grandview, and
eight grandchildren.
Her husband, Russell Arm-
strong, preceded her in death
in 1943.
The body is at the Calfee
Funeral Home.
Rev. Virgil Cook will be in
charge of services at the Calfee
Chapel Friday at 2 p.m. Burial
will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
