Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by a parish vigil at 7:30.
Mary was born October 3rd, 1906 to Anton Wendel and Mary Blatz in Odessa, Russia. At the age of 3 she came to the United States with her parents. They settled in the South Heart area. She married Alexander Kostelecky, June 30th, 1925 at New Hradec. They lived in Dickinson until his death in 1933. In 1935 she married Kasper Aman in Bismarck. They farmed northwest of Mandan until 1967. They then moved closer to Mandan. He died in 1976.
She was a member of Mandan Golden Age.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert and Betty Kostelecky, and John and Eleanore Aman, Mandan: two daughters and one son-in-law, Martha and Louie Novotny, Fargo, and Mary Ann Powell, Bismarck; two stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Mrs. Rose and Tony Landies, Mandan, and Margaret and Richard Weber, Center: 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren: and three sisters, Rose Kubischta, Dickinson, and Theresa Heib and Amelia McFarland, Billings Mont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Alexander; two stepsons, Anton and Joseph; and two sisters, Cecelia and Frances.
