The funeral of Mrs. Andrew W. Davenport was held at the home 309 Loomis Street at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The service was conducted by Rev. Thomas M. Perks of the United Brethern church.
Interment was made in the Union cemetery.
Amanda Welliver was born near Seripio, Indiana, Bartholomeu Co., she died Sept. 8, 1918 age 52 years, 10 months 4 days.
In 1883 she was united in marriage to Thomas Toms in Hancock County Illinois. To this union was born one child Mrs. Elsie Walters of Bayard, Nebraska, who survives her mother.
Later she moved to Winfield, Kansas. There she united in marriage with Andrew Davenport April 22, 1890. To this union was born eight children the youngest daughter Amanda May preceded her mother in death in 1907.
She is survived by her husband Andrew Davenport, four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Walters, Bayard, Nebr. Mrs. Bessie Champlin Indianola, Iowa, Mrs. Laura Warren, and Mrs. Jessie Dobbs of Winfield. Four sons Leo of Hutchinson, Kansas, Clarence, Ross and Theodore of Winfield, Kansas and two sisters Mrs. Mattie Sheets of Carthage, ill., Mrs. Bellm McCreary of East 5th. Four brothers, James, Joe and John Welliver of Corder, Mo., and Alfred Welliver of Peoria, Illinois besides a host of other relatives and friends.
