Hi Bev,

I tried to use Edit to request transfer but didn't see that option. Leona Johnson is my mother. If you would like to put her entry in my name that would be fine. Thank you for putting her on here, because I couldn't have done it.

Kindest Regards,
Prudence Billings

Tyler researcher??
Are you a Tyler researcher? I see your name on a few of the Tylers in Maine, so I'm just curious if there's a connection to "my" Tylers.
Thanks for all your work on this site,

Thank you very much for allowing me to fix my burial spot in Maine Veterans Old section.
This is very thoughtful of you & I do appreciate my previous being the memorial to stay.
Hope you had a good summer & enjoy the fall foliage up north which I do miss until the snow falls.

No, I am not related to her. I was at the cemetery taking pictures of my family members. The cemetery is small so I just took pictures of everything.

John S Wilson
J S Wilson military grave at City Point National Cem: 3075802

John S Wilson card in ME Vets Cem Records:
"War: Civil"
"Cemetery: Enclosed ground Mead Station"
"Co. H, 19th Inf."

That card agrees with the note at the City Point memorial.

The Knox stone looks new .. and is not in ME Vets Recs.
Perhaps Knox locals have the story.

I expect you will not remember me but I went to school in Unity and rode the bus with Floyd and Raymond. My name is Virginia Darleene Shorey Stubbs. I have been researching my family for some time now but I am just beginning to search out the Shorey/Reynolds line. I have just joined Find A Grave and stumbled upon your name in connection with my grandmother Shorey's half brother Bert Almon Cooper. I knew and was friends with his daughter Estelle. I am hoping to find the grave of Bert's mother, Mary. Would you please share with me what it is you do and perhaps more of Bert's genealogy if you can. I appreciate all the research you have apparently done and wish to thank you for sharing your research with others. You will find me at Again, thank you.

RE: Andrea Robinson
Thank you so much. Just got back from Millinocket at 2:17 am this morning. The economy trip on the TomTom added three hours to the trip with construction on two interstates. At least it saved a lot on tolls. Going up was nearly 50 bucks in tolls and 14 hours with stops. Back was over 16 hours and tolls of around 10-12 bucks. At least we missed NY City and NJ on the way back.

I will do some things with Andrea's page after I roll in to work for a while this afternoon. Thank again!

Hi, I left a marker transcription, but it's not readable on the stone anymore. I acquired transcriptions for that cemetery done in 1930. So I thought it would be beneficial to add what I can to the stones that are now worn.

RE: Birth and death places
I haven't done it for a while, but let me research it (again) and see if I can figure out how I got them to come out. I'm at the lake for the summer so if I don't get it to you by fall, please send me a reminder. However, I'll have your note in my comments and that should remind me. Thanks!

Birth and death places
Although you state you won't put the info on the appropriate fields within the memorials as they aren't "searchable," those fields are printed separately so that they can be searched if/when you output records to a printed sheet. I would appreciate if you would please include that information in the appropriate fields. Periodically I come across your records and will include this info as an edit. Utilizing these fields will be appreciated. Thank you.
