I am not sure how I even stumbled on to you Find A Grave site, but I went to New Hampshire College with a Debbie Winship, I think I may have even visited her home in Dover???? A lovely young lady with hopes of coming Ms. New Hampshire. She lived on the same floor of the Rice Hamilton, with myself, Kathy, Sally and the other girl was Grace, who made strange soup out of everyone's left overs. She had a private room and studied alot

She was fun loving, smart and fun to be with, I am sure she is his daughter.

Should you have a close relationship with her please tell her that Patty Gilbert, remembers her. I don't know if she will remember me, but one thing I do remember about her, we would have lunch once in a while at Blake's restaurant usually a burger and I so envied that she never ate her French fries.

I believe there is a reason for everything ... which is why I found you.

Warm Regards to you and the Winship family,

Could you please check on the death date on her gravestone. Social Security and U.S. Veterans Gravesite show Dec. 15, 1999, not Oct.
Thank you. J. Auclair

RE: Grindstone Rd. Cemetery
Hi Bev, The two cemeteries are separate. The Grindstone Rd. in Stacyville is a small,(9 stone) family cemetery on private property near Sherman Maine. Medway is about 35 miles south of Sherman/Stacyville. I have not checked this year but don't think it has had any new additions.

Mary Lane Moulton
You are so knowledgeable of lines in Maine that I would like you to notice if you find my Mary Lane, first wife of Josiah Moulton #38521501. They married at Standish, he did, at some time, move to Thorndike. Have found no Lanes at Standish but several Lanes at Buxton. If you should notice her, would like her added. Do you have such wild requests?

Thanks so much for your work on the Waltons. I was able to fill in much on the descendants of Nancy Agnes Dow through your entries. I especially appreciated the inclusion of the obituaries.

I see yes I thought that could be the case with the records but wasn't sure. You can go to Josiah Bean's listing at First Settlers Cem it is #47059601 but they are all there, and our family records have always stated burial at First Settlers. We find this very interesting as per the stones all of your listings at Pilley are also correct. They can't very well all be buried at both locations so this is very much intriguing and somewhat pleasantly mysterious to us:) you can also 'borrow' my virtual to view a select few of both memorials if you'd like - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=vcsr&GSvcid=236114 ........ Any insight you have about this since you are very familiar with things there could assist us in figuring it out, in that we are a little puzzled by it, all in some good way! Our family line goes straight back to Josiah and Eunice via the others buried in Detroit Village Cem in Somerset Co ME.

RE: George Bean 50237853
Yes, thank you.
What you have on the first posting for Cpl George Bean (NMI) is correct and I will accept, although the record of death at Brooks ME that I found would seem to confuse the issue that he died at New Orleans LA. You may switch the photo order if you wish, just a suggestion. This one was the son of Andrew D and Lydia.

I believe the second one for whom you have posted the info Pvt George M Bean may have been killed in action at Baton Rouge and not died from disease, but that's ok. This one was the son of George W and Eunice buried at Grove Cem, Belfast, Waldo Co ME.

More importantly, the info in the caption for Andrew is incorrect by someone else, so I will work on fixing.

The entire immediate family listings here in this Pilley Cemetery are also all in the First Settlers Cemetery, so I am of the thinking that these markers in Pilley are cenotaphs. Do you concur?

Thank you much for your assistance, it is appreciated.

Winship
Is the June that was married to Hershell Winship your aunt? I don't know her but Hershell and his brothers and sister are in my data, and it says they are related to me in two different families. Long ways off 7 and 8 cousins twice removed, but still family.

Corrected the spelling of his last name fingers get ahead of me and added his plot. Thanks for catching that. My neighbors are Winship's from Maine, I bet you are related to him. I go back to Edward Winship and Elizabeth Parke's daughter Elizabeth who married Joseph Sherman.
