RE: Bailey Family
I received this on Ancestry and since you have Kennedy in your surnames maybe you are connected. John Kennedy

I have been contacted by Eleanor Stillman of the Steuben County Historical Society. She is looking for relatives of John Kennedy, Son on Henry Kennedy. John will be inducted into the Steuben County Hall of Fame on May 2nd and she is wanting to contact relatives to invite them. If you know any or want to be invited please contact her at Kathy

RE: Bailey Family
Hey, Dave, is there a way to communicate that is not so public? I don't want to put my email on here for just anyone to see. I am not sure if you can see any of the trees on ancestry.

Thanks for adding the Oliver and Nancy Lofton links. That "reunites" that family.

RE: Bailey Family
Why can't you be on Ancestry? Just curious.

Thanks for all the info you are sending. I truly do appreciate it.

Hi Dave,
Thanks! The marriage license for Adonijah and Lucinda was new. I have not been able to find that. I had the other stuff. Are you on Ancestry?

RE: Bailey Family
Thank you for the offer. There are so many things I do not know how to research. For example, I am still looking for my great grandmother-Alcy Elizabeth Bailey Baxter's mother. I know her death certificate says Dorcas Jones and her father says Jesse Bailey (her father-in-law was Jesse Baxter)-both of them wrong. Her father was Adonijah Morgan Bailey and Adonijah did not marry Dorcas until 7 years after her birth. He was married to another woman in 1859 and had three other children. I still cannot find the census for either Adonijah or Alcy Elizabeth in 1860. We have a passed down family story that Alcy Elizabeth's mother was some kind of Native American princess. My mtDNA tested 1% Native American and my brother's had 0. Finding your ancestors is definitely a lifelong work in progress!

Take care,

RE: Bailey Family
Dear DSON,

I am so sorry to have caused you an issue. Please accept my apologies. From your bio, you have been doing this a very long time. I am a newbie and an inept one, apparently.
I was told by another member to send an email to Findagrave with all my direct ancestors back three generations requesting transfers. So, I thought that was the way to do it.
You provide a loving and giving service. Please do not let one newbie mistake change the valuable service you provide.

Is there anything I can do to get your violation removed?

Wilma Hollingsworth
Dson, I am not related to Charles or Wilma Hollingsworth. My maternal side has several Hollingsworth descendants from KY; a few generations back. I can sympathize with the terrible things that happened prior to and after Wilma's death. To those that propagated that deceit: their day will come. We know there is good and bad in all crowds; just like there is daylight and darkness. I pray the Great Creator is with you and others. C. Scott

Burns in Holy Cross, Philadelphia
This cemetery doesn't really exist. The real cemetery is in Delaware County. Someone created this cemetery by mistake because the mailing address is Philadelphia. If you look for the real one you will find it in the lookup.

My heartfelt Thank You
Please accept my heartfelt thank you for your posting of William Henry Cooley (Bill) headstone. He was my best friend in High-school in Fairfield Ohio. We went through a lot together. I lost track of him over the years but thanks to you have found him. At least I have some closure. That is because you were so kind as to post the picture of his grave-site. It brought tears to my eyes, but tears of joy in that he has found peace.
I was a member of Find-A-Grave many years ago. I have re-upped because of your kindness.
God Bless you.

Thank You and Thank you for the picture. Chris Walde

The photo of Lucinda Hiatt 100557876 appears to be the same stone as Lorinda Hiatt 6264175; the stone may have been raised (or the grass cut!) Lorinda appears to be the correct name.
