|Kathy Wray||Killeen Obituaries|
I just want to thank you for these obituaries in Killeen. I was born there in 1952 and graduated from KHS IN 1970. I never realized that there were so many related people being a military town. I am finding folks I knew and I had no idea they were related to others I knew. Thanks for a nice stroll down memory lane!

Thanks so much for the photo. That is such a large cemetery; I tried but was unsuccessful to obtain the lot location from the office. You must have inside connections!

I see you posted some records regarding Foresters in Pursley Cemetery. Jacob Forester had a son named Christian who died 7/21/1940 per his death certificate and according to that certificate should be buried in Pursley.
I can not verify the burial location on find a grave and I live a long distance away. Can you tell me if you walked this cemetery and if you did not find any Christian?

Thank you Kelley for your quick reply. I will do a name change for Fanny.
I didn't write either memorial for Fanny and Wilburn and have been lazy in doing research to confirm. The information I have came orginally from a daughter, long passed! Even on the census the two daughters last names are wrong, it should be Coleman. Her maiden name is possibly wrong as well. In a letter by her son written in 1939 he says her maiden name was Simms. I have to get busy on this. I've waited to long!

I just saw your edit request on Salina Beatty #24293032 I will be happy to change the memorial but would like to verify your information first. My sources was a close family member and that doesn't mean it's correct.
Thank you for understanding where I'm coming from.
I await your answer.

|Tony||RE: Albert Akers|
Thank you for your effort to provide more information about those persons buried in the G.A.R. Cemetery. I'm sure your work will be helpful to many. I have several Akers family members buried in the cemetery, and only wish that I had access to newspapers.com to get their obituaries. Thanks again for your help.

I agree with what you state on your contributor page. I wish some people would post better photos or not post photos at all.
I submitted an edit just now for Pozzi because the inscription is in Italian and I'm guessing you don't read Italian. The top line is not the person's first name but rather means "Here reposes" or "Here lies" - just trying to be helpful.
