|Aunt Jan||Robert Eugene Fisher 88363422|
Hi, I'd just like to thank you for providing the death certificate for Robert Fisher. He's my husband's biological father's (Richard Eugene Clarke, son of his daughter Henrietta Maud Fisher) maternal grandfather. With so many adoptions and name changes in the family it's been quite a challenge to trace and my husband didn't think it would ever be possible to track them down. My Ancestry account is in limbo for a while (medical bills piling up..I can pay for one or the other but not both) so I can only go by the hints and track them down on Family Search or googling everything I can think of. I sincerely appreciate your addition to his memorial.
Bless you in all you do,

Thanks for adding the alternate name. Researching this name is difficult because it is sometimes spelled Bran, Brann, Brawn and is often transcribed as Brown. (It came down to me as Brann and I understand this is the most common spelling.) This is the first time I've seen anyone who deliberately spelled it Brown. And recently I learned that the original spelling was Braund! You obviously did a lot of work to determine what the name should be. I appreciate that.

I asked for a transfer of this memorial the other day and realized that I should actually be asking to have the transfer made to Robert's Grandniece.
Her name is Nancy Jones and her Find A Grave ID is 47081698.
Attached is a chart showing her relationship to Robert.
If you have any question you can reach Nancy at: Nancy Jones
Or you can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks - and hope to hear from you soon!

I've checked my files and found David Marion Brecount and Bessie Norrish marriage license, in which he signed it as David Marion Brecount. The form also states that David's father was Clark Brecount and his mother was Mary Emmons. Bessie Norrish's father was Peter Norrish and her mother was Elizabeth Lahman.
The date was 25 May 1905.
The Reverend Benedict was listed as the person who would solemnize the marriage. From subsequent death records, we were able to determine that Rev. Benedict served as the pastor of the Glendale, Ohio Episcopal Church.

David Marion Brecount was my grandfather, so my first source was from my own father David Daniel
Brecount. I will have to check through numerous files on the Brecounts to see if I have a document that also proves that the "M" stands for Marion.

Could this be PVT Charles L. Wells who died Feb. 14, 1916 at Santa Monica, CA. He was a PVT in Co. A, 29th Regt. Indiana Infantry during the Civil War. If so, a photo of his grave and a note in his biography would be appreciated on this the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War.

In theory, it doesn't sound like a bad idea, but maybe you can try putting that in a "flower" instead. You always have the power to delete your own flowers. And maybe use UPPER case so it stands out.

Hey Susan, check out the bio that is on the person's memorial. It says that the memorial is a dupe and will be deleted, but it was not deleted and there is no other memorial for him in G.H.
Since someone else now controls that memorial, maybe you should ask that person to remove the info from the bio section, since they have linked the info back to you.

|Kathryn Wyant Huffman McCoy||Catherine June Nelson Davies|
Thank you for accepting my edits to Catherine's memorial! Her first husband, Regis James Bodecker, memorial# 29296215, was killed in action at Pearl Harbor. He was a 24 year old Navy officer, Yeoman 1C USN. He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on Nov. 7th, 1947. I don't know the year of their marriage, but I do know they had a daughter, Marian A. Bodecker Olverholser Reese, born March 19th, 1938, in Los Angeles County, California. I believe she is still living. Catherine married again, of course, because her last name is became Davies. I'll put through an edit request to link her to her first husband, but I have searched thoroughly and cannot find the name of her second husband with last name Davies. I'm sure she, and her descendants, would want him linked with her too. I'll keep trying! She is my husband's cousin twice removed. His great-grandmother Grace Nelson had a brother Frank Nelson, and Catherine was his daughter. Thank you so much for your work. The findagrave community are the best people, it is so wonderful to find these things and honor their memories for generations to come!

Sorry about the other message.
I see that my edit for Don Kelly pertaining to the inscription was accepted. So I did it for Emma Kelly also. I am not stepping on any toes here, I hope but I was not happy with the readability on the stones.
The photos were done at the request of their son.
Don Find A Grave# 151505355 and Emma Find A Grave#71407159.
I see there is a dual entry or duplication for the Kellys. Thank you for hopefully not being angry at me but I am fairly new at this and Don was my bowling buddy.

I gotta get back to work now.

Hi Susan, thanks for the info. I am one of those people who would rather not have the DCs on the memorials, but who am I to stop folks from doing it. It is, after all, not forbidden and you are free to add them wherever you want. I think the info on a memorial should be in the bio section, and should tell about their life, not focus on how they died, unless the family wants it there, or the description is brief (i.e., car accident, etc.). I think the 5 places should be reserved for portrait photos and headstone/grave site photos. There are other sites where people can view the death certificates, if they are just looking for proof of the dates and other info.

|Allan Wenzel||My Uncle Dan Van Cleave|
Many, Many Thanks.
Dan was an unassuming gentleman. I loved when he would call from California and I got to talk with him. When other boys had sports athletes for heroes I had Dan, and he was a true hero in Korea. When he died President George and Laura bush sent condolences to the family and a Presidential bugler to play taps. I'll prepare a suitable bio. and add more photos.
Again, Thank You Very Much,

I AM EARL KESSLER, THE ONE THAT DID THE PHOTOS FOR THE KELLYS. AS YOU CAN SEE THE INSCRIPTIONS DO NOT SHOW UP VERY WELL. I TRIED TO ADD ONE FOR DONALD BUT THEN I REALIZED THAT I NEEDED YOUR PERMISSION OR THAT YOU WOULD DO IT. I HAVE ALL THE INFO FOR HIS AND HERS (HELGA EMMA). I WAS A FRIEND AND BOWLING BUDDY WITH DON SO THAT IS WHY I DID THE PHOTOS. WITH HIS SONS PERMISSION, BUT STILL I GUESS I OVER STEPPED THE BOUNDS, AGAIN. SO LET ME KNOW WHICH WAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO FINISH UP THE GRAVE SITE PHOTOS.

I was beginning to worry about you! I'm glad that you are making some progress, it is a tedious process. I hope that all of you are healthy and happy. We are doing okay here. Just give me the word when you want me to start doing edits again and it doesn't have to be 30 a day, I can do 5 a day or 10 a day or whatever you suggest. Take care and keep in touch!

Hi Susan! I've accepted your Edits. I can't remember why I mentioned that there is a picture of her on her crypt, but no inscription. That was years ago, so maybe by now something has been added. I'm going tomorrow so I'll get a photo. I've actually managed to claim 4 this week. Got lucky.
I'll let you know when the photo has been added. Please don't click on "Request" because I probably won't be able to claim it before someone else does!
