Thats okay. I don't mind if you want to keep her middle name the way it is. The way I spelled it was how it was listed on her birth certificate.

Transfer Request #71403023
Dear Shirley,

Would you please consider transferring my husband, Dale's father to me? I've been working on this family since 1997 and we just got back from Wisconsin and Texas where we were able to locate Paul's grand and great grandparents. I'd like to add them and clean up the details on the site a bit.

Thank you so much for your kind consideration.

Theresa Griffin

RE: Suggested edit of marriage
I think I must have picked up the wrong Memorial number for this one, have included his obit which shows he was married to Elizabeth Gray.

Unknown newspaper - February, 1948

Funeral services for the late Marion Pierce Terhune, 84-year-old former resident of Glasgow, were conducted in the Danner Funeral Home at Winchester Thursday afternoon, Feb. 19th, at 2 o’clock, with Rev. F. V. Wright, pastor of the Winchester Baptist church, officiating. Music was furnished by Misses Delores and Opal Modlin.

Interment was made in the Glasgow cemetery, with the casket bearers being Harley Hanback, Max Smith, Chas. Evans, Harold Day, Eugene Nicholson and Estele Cowper.

The deceased was born June 5th, 1863, near Harrodsburg, Ky., the youngest son of Stephen and Elizabeth Terhune. His early life was spent in his native state until after the death of his father. It was then the mother and the children moved to Illinois, settling near Waverly. Soon after moving to Illinois, he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Gray of Waverly, who passed away a short time after their marriage, after which he made his home among relatives in the Glasgow and Winchester communities for several years.

For the past 21 years, he has been a patient in the Illinois State hospital in Jacksonville, where he was summoned to his Eternal Home at 11:45 o’clock on the morning of Feb. 17th., 1948.

He was a member of the Glasgow Baptist church, and the last surviving member of a family of five children, including three brothers, Joseph, John S., and James, one sister, Mrs. Paralee Johnson, and one half-brother, Charles Claunch. He is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Nellie Mudd and Mrs. Frances Jackson, and two nephews, Charles Terhune and Warren Terhune.

Grace Leffert
Hello, my name is Dan and Grace Leffert was my great grandmothers sister in law. Emil was her brother. I have been looking for Grace for years and have been unsuccessful, until I posted a photo request on a hunch that one in Cal. was her. Then when I saw the husband and daughters name I knew it was a hit. I have never known anything about her family and everyone here who knew anything about her are gone. If you go to the Miller family tree, I am the head person, trace it down to Agnes Plunket, she was my great grandma, you can trace over to Emil and see where he is buried, in the same cemetery. The stone is for 3 people. Embelle their daughter died first and she has a birth and death date. Then Emil died and he has a birth and death date. Grace has a spot in between them and she has a birth date and only 19-- for a death date. My question is would you mind transferring ownership to me. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

RE: 71291896 Dewey England

Dewey England is my uncle, married to my aunt Eunice Cleo Watts. Originally, I was unable to find ANY middle name. However, in the U.S. Public Record Index, 1950-1993 Volume 1, it does list Dewey with a middle initial "C."

Additionally, my only surviving aunt, Lorene Watts Downey, did confirm the middle initial, but did not recall the full name.

I hope that helps. If you have further questions, please fell free to contact me.

Athol Shelton was Doris Kettering's 2nd husband, and Joseph Harker was her third. I don't have documentation nor do I know where her first husband, William Hart was buried.

P.S. RE: Memorial #71410866 - Joseph Pearl Leach
I meant to say thank you for the information about Emma. All things considered, I understand now why Emma's children with James came to regard Minnie as their mother. The original marriage records for two of the three children in fact lists Minnie, not Emma, as mother.

RE: Memorial #71410866 - Joseph Pearl Leach
No wonder I couldn't find a death certificate for Emma, but I do wonder why James said he was widowed. Well, since his mother was living with him in 1920, and he likely was out at work, perhaps his mother just chose to regard Emma as dead.
