This is a great site for anyone doing research.

I have been doing genealogical research for 40 plus years. My wife and I have spent many hours walking cemeteries and visiting historical societies. A lot of the information from the cemeteries is our family however much of it is not. I am posting here in an effort to give back and share it with others in the hope it might help them as others have helped me.

DUPLICATE MEMORIALS
I do not intentionally add duplicate memorials.

Before I add a memorial I search this site and the cemetery where I want to add the memorial. If the name does not come up in my initial search, then I may not delete my memorial as your memorial, even if it predates mine, was transferred from another place or kept hidden in a virtual cemetery and listed as an Unknown Burial Place by other contributors.

If you have additional information or questions on a memorial use the "Edit Tab" on the memorial.

Thank you for the info posted about the Finger family. Just wondered if you knew any more about them. They are my great grandparents.

Do you have any other information you could share with me?. I am trying to research her as well as her maiden and married names for more info on that branch of our family.

Thanks!

RE: William Hadfield
John,

I don't know the name of William Hadfield's wife. Something strange there because he's buried by himself. I'm thinking he was a bachelor. He might have been gay. Back in his time gays were totally in the closet. But in almost every family there was the "bachelor uncle", i.e. "gay uncle." I'm the one in my family. Unfortunately, identifying myself publicly as gay has restricted my ability to research my family history because of homophobia. Interestingly, the people I've gotten the most cooperation from (sharing family trees) are also gay like me. One well known cousin (a published cookbook author) from the Hadfield line was even disowned by his family when they found out he was gay. He has supplied me with most of my Hadfield and Hickman family information. If I find anything further on William Hadfield I'll let you know.
Have a great day!
Ron

John,

Thank you for the death certificate information on my grandfather. I'm so glad that Pennsylvania is doing something right and releasing death certificate information for the general public. It's about time. By the way, my grandmother's maiden name was "Warrick." Just goes to show you that sometimes the information on the death certificate isn't always correct. (Smile).
